Durban University of Technology Online Registration 2022

The Durban University of Technology (DUT) online registration portal is open for all fresh and returning students. In this guide, we’ll be sharing the step by step guide on how to start your DUT online registration.

The Durban University of Technology (DUT) online registration guide is a five (5) minutes registration process for all admitted students. The entire registration process consists of 8 steps outlined below.

Step 1

  • Go to the Students tab on the DUT website and click on the “Student Online Portal” link, or use the direct link https://www.dut.ac.za/student_portal.
  • Click on “student self-service

Step 2

  • Log in to your student portal with your Student Number and PIN. If you don’t have a PIN, enter your student number and click on “Request PIN”. A PIN will be emailed to you.

For first time students, please note that the PIN will be preset to the first five digits of your ID number.

Step 3

Registration

  • Enter your personal details.
  • Thereafter click on the registration tab to display other menus. Click them on the order they appear.

Step 4

Registration Restrictions

The registration restriction will show you your different statuses at DUT. Students must not have any STOP REGISTRATION statuses to be able to register.

For financial issues contact the Department of Finance. For other statuses, contact the Department of Students Admissions or Faculty Office for assistance.

A student must have an allowed web registration status to be allowed to register on the web. Ensure to pay all online registration fees prior to registration.

Step 5

Rules and Regulations

  • Click and accept the university rules and regulations.
  • Submit your online registration.

Step 6

Subject Selection

  • Select all the subjects that you are qualified for. All compulsory modules are preselected as such you can’t change them.
  • Click on the check box beside each subject.
  • Thereafter click on Save and Continue.
  • Verify your selected subjects and continue.

Step 7

  • You need to accept your registration to access the course fee for your registration.
  • Thereafter, validate your address.

Step 8

  • Click on email proof of registration to get your proof of registration details in your mail. You can also print your proof of registration by clicking on the PDF version of proof of registration.
